OFFICIAL: Australian-Vietnamese midfielder receives transfer decision from V.League club

Perth Glory confirmed that Ngo Dang Khoa has officially completed the transfer to CLB Cong An TP.HCM after a loan spell. The Australian-Vietnamese midfielder will continue to be with the V.League 1 club in the upcoming journey.

Perth Glory has just confirmed that CLB Cong An TP.HCM has bought out Ngo Dang Khoa, thereby ending the 20-year-old player's time with the Australian club. Previously, Ngo Dang Khoa joined Cong An TP.HCM on loan in early 2026 and quickly had the opportunity to play in V.League 1.

During his loan spell at Cong An TP.HCM, Ngo Dang Khoa made 14 appearances in all competitions, including matches in the V.League and national cup. Perth Glory also confirmed that the official transfer has been completed. Before moving to Vietnam, Ngo Dang Khoa had 26 appearances in the A-League for Perth Glory after making his debut for his hometown club in April 2024.

Ngo Dang Khoa was once called up to the Vietnam national team

Ngo Dang Khoa was first called up to the Vietnam national team by coach Kim Sang-sik in preparation for the AFF Cup 2026. However, the young midfielder could not participate in the tournament due to a grade 2 meniscus tear, forcing him to undergo rehabilitation and treatment instead of joining professional training sessions.

After discussing with the coaching staff and medical department, Ngo Dang Khoa was allowed to return to his club to continue treatment. Despite missing the AFF Cup 2026, the player born in 2006 is still considered highly promising, having scored 3 goals for Cong An TP.HCM in the second half of the 2025/26 V.League season.

Perth Glory wishes Ngo Dang Khoa success

Perth Glory's Director of Football, Stan Lazaridis, also sent his best wishes to Ngo Dang Khoa after the deal was completed. Lazaridis shared: “Khoa has integrated very well at CLB Cong An TP.HCM during his loan spell and this is a great opportunity for him. At this stage of his career, Khoa needs regular playing time and this official transfer will allow him to do that.”

Ngo Dang Khoa is also the first player of Vietnamese origin to play in the A-League. Before joining the Perth Glory first team, he developed through the youth teams of Joondalup United and Perth RedStar, then joined the PGFC academy in 2020.
